Antelope Valley Line developments

Rumor has it that the new CEO is looking into express service on the Antelope Valley Line. I wonder what it would take to get to the happen, and what stations should be served. Cutting the 2 hour trip from Lancaster to Palmdale to even one and a half hours would be a huge improvement.

The AV Line is also being used as a testing ground for a couple Fourth of July round-trips. It'll be interesting to see how many ride the trains on Monday.

You’re absolutely right on this one Spokker. But the wizards at M-link have a lot to learn about marketing.

There was a seat drop on Wednesday June 30 advertising the two AV trips. I asked the conductor when the trips would run. He claimed that Metrolink would “announce” that info on July 1, with a seat drop.

The July 1 seat drop never happened, and the conductor did not know the July 1 schedule.

Needless to say, Metrolink needed to get their “stuff” together to make this a success. I wonder what the final totals were.

Thoughts?
